Caesarstone's Guide to Milan 2017

23/07/2018
Caesarstone

Milan Design Week – the pinnacle event of the design world – attracts thousands of designers, architects, and design enthusiasts from around the world every year. This year we have put together a list of ten unmissable sites for you to visit during the event taking place between 4-9 April, spearheaded by Caesarstone’s ground-breaking collaboration with the international designer Jaime Hayon.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Caesarstone® has exhibited at Milan Design Week, the pinnacle event of the design world. This year, Caesarstone® is returning to Palazzo Serbelloni, an impressive Milanese palace from the 18th century in the city centre (Corso Venezia 16), to unveil “Stone Age Folk” – a multi-dimensional installation by the international designer Jaime Hayon. As in a priceless piece of jewellery, Hayon will embed Caesarstone® surfaces combining innovative processing techniques and traditional stained glass techniques within the installation’s metal frame – which will be built against the historical backdrop of the Palazzo’s Ballroom.

This fantasy world is created by combining different colours, shapes, and structures inspired by the natural environment, the animal kingdom, and folklore of different cultures, ranging from Hungarian myths to African tribal influences. The Caesarstone® installation is included every year in the prestigious list of must-see sites at the Milan Design Week published by international design magazines such as Dezeen or Wallpaper, which this year chose again to hold its renowned annual party in Caesarstone’s exhibition space. For those of you who are planning to visit Milan Design Week, we recommend 10 unmissable events, exhibitions, exhibits and launches.
