In conjunction with Architectural Digest, celebrated architect Juergen Mayer H. and, Wallpaper* Magazine, Caesarstone® held an amazing presence in Art Basel Miami Beach, last month.

Right before Christmas, Caesarstone® USA joined with Architectural Digest for its 3rd annual AD Oasis at the James Royal Palm Hotel in South Beach, Florida. During the week’s festivities, Caesarstone® hosted an exclusive cocktail party at the AD Oasis, attended by industry executives and socialites alike, including Mick de Giulio and Ty Pennington.

The AD Oasis, created by renowned AD100 designer Mark Cunningham, served as a luxurious retreat during Art Basel, Miami Beach. Cunningham transformed an area of the hotel to reflect the beachy, bright, and glamorous Miami vibe. As an official sponsor, Caesarstone® worked with Cunningham to provide the surfaces used throughout the space, including the featured bars, which were absolutely stunning. Caesarstone® featured three custom bar tops in three separate areas of the event—Play, Savor, and Relax. All three full-service bars were wrapped in vinyl, featuring a custom-design by AD100 designer Mark Cunningham.

PLAY: Caesarstone’s gorgeous stone in Basalt Black was featured as the bar top within the Social Media Room (aka “Play”) where guests came to get charged up and play.

SAVOR: Caesarstone’s fresh stone in Blizzard White was featured as the bar top in the Café (aka “Savor”) where guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and food throughout the 3 days.

RELAX: Caesarstone’s beautiful London Grey stone inlays were placed on two Breezeway bars situated in the middle of the AD Oasis Lounge (aka “Relax”). Caesarstone® received custom signage on top of each bar, and logo/name inclusion on custom signage positioned at the entrance of each area featured within the space. Additionally, each bar featured Caesarstone® catalogs for the taking.

AD dedicated an area within the AD Oasis shop featuring a custom Caesarstone® candleholder with a soy mango candle from The James GIVE Shop. Throughout the 3-day event, guests could purchase a Caesarstone® candleholder with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Architecture for Humanity. Hundreds of guests interacted with the custom Caesarstone® candleholder—even Paris and Nicky Hilton purchased four of them at the VIP party on the Friday night of the event. AD hosted an exclusive Caesarstone® happy hour at the Oasis café bar featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and Kim Crawford wines. A lively affair, guests received a complimentary Caesarstone® gift bag and custom candleholder with candle. Caesarstone® product featured within the AD Oasis was promoted and available for sale via ADOasisMiami.com leading up to and during the event, and received posts via AD360 social media—Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Famed architect Juergen Mayer H. unveiled Pipapo. Made entirely from Caesarstone’s Alpine Mist 5110, this sculptural bench was delicately milled to create a three dimensional, lattice-like, irregular formation. Pipapo was on display at the Galerie Eigen + Art booth, throughout Art Basel. In addition, Caesarstone® was the selected partner by Wallpaper* Magazine to provide the surfaces for Wallpaper’s select handmade collection in their booth at Art Basel.

“Caesarstone® embraces design and the design community. We consistently strive to push the envelope and show people that Caesarstone® works in so many creative ways outside of the kitchen,” said Sagi Cohen, CEO of Caesarstone® US. “From art to fashion, Caesarstone® is about innovation and Art Basel enthusiasts will experience an impressive array of unique Caesarstone® applications.”

Caesarstone® will be hosting a national tour in 2014 and it is anticipated that Juergen Mayer’s Pipapo will be the latest addition to this collection. Existing pieces include works by designers Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Jamie Adler of Phyllis Morris, Robert Kuo and VIA/CAT. These pieces of art will travel to various events around the country making stops in major cities such as New York, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, and more.
