Bowler Street by Space Constructions

When conceptualising the style, outlay and features of 33 Bowler Street, Paddington’s kitchen, Space Constructions aimed to create a functional yet chic industrial space to compliment the open plan layout which featured a custom made wrought iron balustrade staircase and beautiful blackett bricks.

To contrast the dark colouring, Caesarstone® White Shimmer in a 40mm profile was chosen for the back bench to create a lighter focal point, together with white brick tile splash back and lexicon white walls. The kitchen had to be a truly practical space, so the Caesarstone® surfaces were matched with stainless steel Miele appliances blended with a stainless steel island bench top and further enhancing the industrial style.

To flow from these areas, 130mm recycled ironbark timber hardwood flooring was used. Built upon this, the cabinetry reflected the dark colouring of the balustrade with the use of true grain anthracite doors and drawers with custom coloured black handles to compliment.

Finally, the lighting was taken into consideration and the result being the clever use of natural lighting through high positioned louver and single glassed windows and strategically concealed LED lighting under the kickboard. The finishing touch being the feature industrial stringed lighting with exposed bulbs.
